Wildlife wander by ...
Elk graze on grass along the Trans Canada Highway.

Rocky mountain sheep graze on the hillside and nibble the mineral rich sandstone.
A female sniffs the air and the male is watchful.
Rafters 6 Ranch
Ever dream of a trip to a guest ranch? Rafters Six is just outside of Canmore: log buildings, friendly animals and great food.
During the 'off season', dogs are a little 'laid back'.
Animals wander around the ranch.
And, of course there are horses, including draft horses that pull wagons for those who don't want to ride.
Lamas, native to the South American Mountains don't mind the -20 C. weather.
This goat seemed to be in charge.
The skies are blue, the snow about two feet deep and the wind blows strong.
