TAST II #4 Portugese Border

This is an easy stitch ... once you get the hang of it. It is simply a loop stitch on a foundation of of ladder stitches. It creates a high raised texture. I varied the texture and thickness of threads and size of stitches. The dark heavy example is on a ladder of fine cord and the loops are made with a bulky thread made from twisted silk threads. The silk threads are East Indian sari garments that are taken apart ... thread by thread.

Vivian what a lot of patience to take apart the sari.
