I had the honor of being on the jury for this show, it was an excellent experience. We narrowed down almost 400 quilts to create a beautiful show. Unfortunately, there were no photos allowed of the show quilts.
However, here is one of me with my Sunburst. As a juror, I was not able to enter the show ... but I was able to have a quilt displayed!
I took a workshop with Thom Atkins. He shared his methods and special techniques. His work is heavily beaded, integrated into piece and in many cases, the most important part.
This is a crop from one of his pieces ... if you ever get a chance to take a workshop ... it is a must if you like to add beads to your work!

The LA CONNER QUILT FESTIVAL occurs at the beginning of October each year. It is open to international quilters as well as local. Check the Museum link later in the year for the 2013 information.

On the grounds, the last rose of summer with a bee getting the last nectar!
