O'Canada 2012

I have had two quilts accepted to the O'Canada Show! I will not see them again until Christmas. They start in Cincinnati, OH for the International Quilt Festival show and continue travelling to various venues. The show will finish in Houston in November 2012.
Pink Snow was inspired by the Japanese Cherry Trees that line our driveway. When the wind blows, the petals drift like snow.
Secrets and Cherry Blossoms honor the traditions of Japanese ladies sharing secrets in the spring garden.Although I liked the finished piece, this technique was an experiment that won't be repeated. The fused design pieces were arranged & changed many times before being sewn!
Both pieces were made for the Vancouver Cherry Festival in 2010 & 2011.
