FAN 'Pathways' in London, ON

The FibreArtNetwork is having a show that will be in London Ontario, at the same time as the CQA/ACC National Juried Show.

I started this litttle quilt a couple of years ago and didn't finish it. When I saw the requirements for this show, I knew that this little quilt had a date for the show!

Title: Deep in the Woods      Size:  16.5” wide x 20” long 

Deep in the woods a seedling grows, sheltered and nurtured by an ancient stump.

I used many techniques:  Appliqué, Free motion stitching, Hand embroidery, Fabric Painting, Hand Needle Felting of Fibres. It was fun to do!

Materials: Cotton background for central section, hand painted corduroy for stump and mounted on hand painted batting. Cotton embroidery yarns and textured knitting yarns.
