Nova Scotia - Swiss Air Tragedy

This is a rocky and windswept shore.September 2, 1998, a Swiss Air flight crashed. Maritimers are familiar with sea tragedy and took to the sea as first responders for the recovery. A memorial marks the shore ... looking out to where 229 perished. In the distance, you can see Peggy's Cove Lighthouse.Amazingly, my little camera was able to zoom in on the rock and lighthouse. We look out to the Atlantic Ocean. Erratics lay where glaciers deposited them like so many small pebbles.

these pictures are wonderful, and thanks for the bits of history, geography and local lore.
