CQA - NJS

'Quilt Bugs in My Brain' ... me and hundreds of other people who attended the Canadian Quilt Association - National Juried Show - Quilt B.C. held in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada.
The NJS consisted of 68 quilts, chosen from hundreds of entries from across Canada. I had the pleasure of seeing two of my quilts among them: 'Autumn Scarlet' and 'Phoenix Rising'. Although I had a quilt in the '05 and '06 shows, I had never been able to attend. How to describe the show? Traditional bed quilts, beautifully crafted and innovative fibre art that would rival any painting in use of colour and design ... with the added feature of texture.
Several other quilt shows added more 'eye candy'.
My husband and I attended the CQS dinner and were entertained by the infamous 'Kamloops Root Band'.
Little quilts were auctioned from the Tendex challenge. I had mentioned to my husband that I really liked Judy Morningstar's 'Quilt Bugs in My Brain'. Much to my surprise, he bid on the quilt. I am now the proud owner!
Our holiday was rounded out with a visit with a friend and her husband. We were university friends ... it is amazing how you can slip right back into friendship after all those years!
