Quilt Show

This is my most recent art quilt, 'Autumn Scarlet' size 4 ft.x5ft. The design is based on a photograph of the blueberry bushes when they turn scarlet in the fall. The Golden Ears Mts. are in the background. The sky and mountains are my hand painted fabric. The method is raw edge applique with free motion embroidery.
This quilt is on dispay at the La Conner Quilt Museum. ‘Transitions’ showcases our traditional roots and the journey we have each made towards creating our art quilts of today. West Coast Fibre Artists are: Johanna Alford, Judy Greenwood, Vivian Kapusta, Laura Koch, Judy Leslie, Donna Polos and Karen Stefiuk. We enjoy experimenting with new techniques and subjects. Our styles are as individual as we are. We benefit from enthusiastically exchanging new ideas and challenges. Our home communities are Maple Ridge, Coquitlam and Burnaby B.C.- just due north of La Conner. Here is the link to the museum:

You are invited! Let me know if you are able to see the show.
