March: My 'Earthquake' shows the cause of earthquakes and volcanoes. We live on a thin crust that covers a churning molten mass where pressures fold rock layers and rip them apart. Over millions of years, our continents have been formed and reformed.

April: My 'Woven' Abstract Challenge is made from silk fiber that was woven and fused. It is mounted on natural raw silk. I enhanced it with hand sewing, using
metallic threads and beads. I added magnolia leaves, a feather and a metal circle (old earring). I enjoyed the process ... but I'm not thrilled with the results. The leaves do not show as much as I would like ... I think I'll try a little metallic S
hiva stick ... see if that helps.

Well ... I used Jaquard gold metallic paint ... a little on my finger. I also removed the feather and added a third leaf.
I'm still not happy with the embellishments ... I added some turkey down feathers to soften the leaves.

I like what you did with it, looks great, now!
Great work, Vivian! I have a question: can you tell me some words of your design process?
