TAST #6 Buttonhole Eyelet Flower

The buttonhole flower begins with a buttonhole wheel. Then a boullion stitch is added around the circle. Here, I did a circle of gold boullions and then a circle of mauve. The green stem is a running stitch and leaves are represented by knotted buttonhole (double & triple). The fabric is denim ... a little hard to embroider on due to the dense twill weave.

I'm enjoying all these lovely embroidery samples, but can you add some instruction, too? I'd love to know how to do the boullion stitch and the knotted buttonhole. (Perhaps there's another place where you do give how-to's and I missed it?)

Lovely! I like your color choices and that you did two rounds of the bullion stitches.

Wow, this is a great example! I like the double petals and the closed flower. It just looks very pretty on the denim.
