Edmonton Alberta ... in a cold -30 C

Interesting architecture in Edmonton:
The Edmonton City Hall has a huge hall with a Roman style stairway leading to the main council chambers. Artwork adorns the walls and ceiling. The joker seemed added a touch of irony. The ceiling is a skylight with stars and snowflakes.
The walls are a porous sandstone that gives rough texture.
Ceilings are high, with a stately feel to the building. Outside, a bell tower marks the time.
This skylight is in the Edmonton Center Mall. The downtown is a labyrinth of sky walks and tunnels. You can go for miles and access many of the buildings.

-30 is very cold. If there is a wind factor ... that feels like -40. You can get frostbite on your cheeks or any exposed skin. Moving from building to building can chill you. Cars need to be plugged into an electrical outlet for their block heaters to work. The car needs about 15 minutes to warm up - the new cars with a fob can be started from inside your house. Volvos are built for this country!

Hi Vivian,
That building is amazing.
I love the spider web picture in the previous post. You are a very talented photographer.
Stay warm my friend.
