Snohomish, Washington State

We spent a pleasant afternoon in the charming town of Snohomish in Washington, USA. The main street is mostly turn-of-the-century buildings. One of the oldest buildings is the Legion, with lots of architectual detail.I loved the narrow doors and windows ... it gave a European flavor. There was a strong Finnish community in the area. A gentle river winds its way through the town, bordered by a pathway for walking. The day was cool with an 'Irish Mist'. We have had an unusally cool spring and summer punctuated with a few days that were very hot. The town focus is antique shops - good for a stroll.

The poster boy for the town is 'Chow-Chow' 08-'08 in the calendar column to the left. He has his spot right on the counter to greet all the customers.
