Sandy-Sue's Round Robin Fabric Book: her theme is coffee!

This is part of an internet project between 6 people. Each book will have 5 pages on the chosen theme.

About ten years ago, I bought a coffee plant ... a scraggly stem with a few leaves. It has grown to ceiling height and been cut back a couple of times.

In the spring it has delicate little white flowers that are irridescent.

In the summer the green berries turn red and are about the size of a cranberry. They need to have the husk removed to reveal two coffee beans. The beans then need to be roasted. I leave the plant outside in the summer and the birds usually take care of the berries.

Photos are of my plant.

What a lovely idea! There are some beautiful things on your blog - photographs as well as stitching - a pleaure to look at!
