About ten years ago, I bought a coffee plant ... a scraggly stem with a few leaves. It has grown to ceiling height and been cut back a couple of times.
In the spring it has delicate little white flowers that are irridescent.
In the summer the green berries turn red and are about the size of a cranberry. They need to have the husk removed to reveal two coffee beans. The beans then need to be roasted. I leave the plant outside in the summer and the birds usually take care of the berries.
