Western Trillium

The Western Trillium is a protected flower in British columbia. A developer clear cut 10 acres and destroyed the habitat for animals and flowers. I rescued two pots of plants. Three years later, they are healthy and well. I packed them with soil and leaves from their natural area and placed them in a shaded courtyard.

I'm so glad to hear of your rescue. Trilliums are one of my springtime favorites. Thank you for making the beautiful photograph. My mom has been able to encourage and replant several spring wildflowers near where she lives. It is such a treat to see them blooming and spreading again.
